RETURN YOUR JAGUAR
If you decide to return your Jaguar, we'll make the process as easy as possible.
1. UNDERSTAND YOUR WEAR AND USE
- Schedule your complimentary pre-inspection, at least 45 days prior to your turn-in date to ensure you receive an appointment that fits your schedule. You may schedule an appointment online or contact us
- A pre-inspection is an evaluation of the wear and use on your vehicle so you can anticipate potential lease-end charges3. Pre-inspections are completed by an independent inspection company, AutoVIN, and can be arranged at your home, office, or other convenient location. You can review your online condition report about 24 hours after your appointment.
- If you do not get a pre-inspection, we will still complete an inspection after you turn-in your vehicle, and you will not have the opportunity to make repairs. Applicable excess wear and use charges will appear on your final Lease-End Bill.
- See Excess Wear and Use for additional information
2. REVIEW CHECKLIST
- If you are returning your vehicle, view our Lease Turn-in checklist a to ensure a smooth lease turn-in.
3. SCHEDULE YOUR RETURN
- If you decide to return your current Jaguar, contact us in advance to arrange for the return.
4. PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE
- Remove all personal items
- Place the owner's manual in the glove box
- Turn in all sets of keys to the vehicle
- Clear any personal digital information from in-vehicle interfaces
- Anything that came with your Jaguar when you first leased it is required to be included when returned. You may be charged for missing items, including keys, manuals, and/or cargo covers
- Avoid tire replacement charges - ensure that all tires match and are of comparable quality to the original equipment, no snow tires, no tires are missing or damaged, and each tire must have at least 1/8th-inch tread at its lowest point
- See the Excess Wear and Use section of your Lease Agreement for additional details and exclusions
5. CHECK LOCAL DMV REQUIREMENTS
- License plate return instructions and/or release of ownership practices vary by state. Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles prior to lease turn-in for requirements specific to your area. Your retailer may assist during your turn-in appointment, but it is your responsibility to complete the state requirements.
6. COMPLETE ODOMETER STATEMENT
- When your lease ends, federal law (and state law, if applicable) requires that you disclose the mileage on your vehicle’s odometer. Complete, sign, and date an Odometer Statement and return it to us or send your request through the Secure Message Center on Chase.com.
7. COMPLETE LEASE TURN-IN FORM
- Please complete the turn-in form within one business day of vehicle turn-in to ensure that we have the correct date and information to calculate your lease-end bill, if applicable.
8. LEASE-END BILLING
- You may receive a Lease-End Bill 30-60 days after the vehicle has been returned. Early termination and other situations where the vehicle must first be sold can expect a bill about 90-120 days after vehicle turn-in.
- Immediately after your last payment clears your account, cancel your automatic payments to avoid over-payment. Even if you are a Chase banking customer, you must cancel your automatic payments.
- If you have any unpaid deferred payment balance remaining, it will be added to your final Lease-End Bill.
- If you have unpaid deferred payments, they will be added to your final Lease-End Bill.
- You can estimate your excess mileage charges by multiplying your excess miles by the per mile charge in your Lease Agreement. Excess wear and use charges can be estimated by completing a pre-inspection prior to vehicle turn-in.
- If you or the retailer do not purchase the vehicle, the turn-in (disposition) fee covers the associated transport and related auction or sale expenses. If you purchase or lease another vehicle of the same brand, the Loyalty Waiver may cover the fee. This is a common fee for leased vehicles.
- You are responsible for all tickets, citations, penalties and fines. At our option, we may pay on your behalf any fine that you have not paid. You must reimburse us for any such amount immediately upon demand. You should contact the issuing authority for questions regarding the ticket, citation, penalty or fee or, if needed, a copy of the ticket or citation.
